It changed my life from being a mere teenager whose interests were on focused on entertainment to an adult concerned about my generation, my country, and global peace. My focus is now concentrated on supporting youth empowerment, gender equality, and sustainable development. I see myself as a global citizen and an agent of positive change.”
By these words, Aly Abdelazem described the experience of building Teens Club , so after that African Leadership Academy and Anzisha Prize selected Teens Club and Co-Founder “Aly Abd El-Azem” to compete with other 11 startups in Africa for the best startup in Africa in 2016.
The Anzisha Prize is the premier award for African entrepreneurs aged 15-22 who have developed and implemented innovative businesses or social ventures. Finalists travel to South Africa and share in over $100,000 in cash awards, as well as access to lifelong mentorship and support.
The Anzisha Prize seeks to award young entrepreneurs who have developed and implemented innovative solutions to social challenges or started successful businesses within their communities. 12 finalists from across Africa will win an all-expenses paid trip to South Africa to be a part of a week-long entrepreneurship workshop and conference at the African Leadership Academy campus on the outskirts of Johannesburg. The grand prize winners, selected from these finalists, will share prizes worth $75,000 USD.
For the third time, an Egyptian and Arabian teenager made it to the final stage. we hope to be the first Egyptian, and Arab startup to win the prize.
